Phase one will include five building right in the center of town.  The property owners were consulted and will need to make a ten percent contribution to the work.  This is truly a win win for both the Village and the building Owners.

Carrine Piccolo-Kaufer the Facade Program Administrator states,  "The Village of Suffern is excited about starting the construction phase of the Downtown Business District Façade Improvement Program. The first phase of the project, which encompasses a portion of Lafayette Avenue between Suffern Place and Park Avenue, will give a visible facelift to Suffern’s downtown. The program which is funded through a Federal Community Development Block Grant is anticipated to take place over five years and will be an integral component of the Village’s plan to improve downtown and attract and retain businesses."
