The RBA Green Council is partnering with Rockland County BOCES to present a free eight lecture series called "Greening Your Home or Business" beginning Monday, Oct. 20 at 7 p.m. at BOCES' West Nyack campus on Parrott Road.

The lecture brings together a group of industry experts in every category of sustainability and will be hosted by Ed Gray, Rockland BOCES director of facilities.

Classes on saving energy, conserving water and reducing waste will be presented along with solar power and ways to make buildings more energy efficient.

There will also be specialists from the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) to explain how much money is available to help implement some of these ideas.

Any home or building owner can sign up and learn how to adopt green strategies. There is a $10 one-time registration fee for all eight sessions. To register, call 348-3500.
